Abdominal Massage: Safety & Preparing for Your Session
Abdominal massage is slow, deep, hands-on work on your belly, guided by your breath. The work is intimate and can bring up strong physical sensations and emotions. Some clients find it intense or challenging, and others find it deeply relieving. Your safety always comes first, and we can slow down or pause anytime.
Please wait, or check in with me first, if you are:
Pregnant, or within 6 weeks of a vaginal birth (about 8–12 weeks after a C-section, with your provider's OK)
On your period. If it starts before your session, please reschedule.
Living with cancer
Living with a pacemaker
Within 12 weeks of abdominal surgery. Please get your surgeon's clearance before deep abdominal work.
Using an IUD. Please contact me before booking, since some abdominal work isn't done with an IUD, and we'll talk about what's possible.
Dealing with a hernia, or sudden or severe belly pain. Please see a doctor first.
